A Nankeen Kestrel at Henson Park this morning, sitting up on the northern afl goalpost. It was getting hassled a bit by a Pee Wee who decided to leave it alone. It flew around and across the ground and perched up on the communications tower, much higher than the goalpost. I wonder if it caught anything. I reckon it’d be on the look out for young Willie Wagtails or Swallows, and maybe a Pigeon squab or two.

Later on at home the four Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos flew over, going south, I wonder where they’re coming from.

The heron seems to have taken up residence on the disused toilet blocks. Yesterday it was perched on the Men’s, this morning on the Women’s.

Grey and quiet morning, at first no birds at all, then:

Undie got in a dog fight.

On the way home I saw a coffin being carried out of a house. I’ve never seen that before.
